Andy Waldie is the founder of Integriguard Consultancy Ltd, specialising in independent investigations, intelligence, integrity‑led risk management, and leadership coaching. A retired Detective Chief Superintendent, Andy brings decades of experience leading complex investigations and safeguarding initiatives across high‑risk environments.
During his policing career, Andy held senior head‑of‑department roles spanning crime and public protection, professional standards and anti‑corruption, serious and organised crime, and regional counter terrorism. These positions shaped his strategic oversight, operational leadership, and deep expertise in covert tactics, risk management, and organisational integrity.
He is known for his measured, integrity‑focused approach, bringing clarity to complex situations and supporting leaders to make informed, defensible decisions. Andy’s work blends operational experience with strategic insight, ensuring organisations receive practical, proportionate, and evidence‑based investigations and guidance.

Tackling corruption and serious organised crime.
Led a long term sensitive covert operation into corruption within an eastern region police force. Working with the National Crime Agency to expose organised crime group infiltration and secure arrests. As Head of Serious Organised Crime, authorised, and directed covert tactics in major cases including murder, kidnap, firearms offences and modern slavery.
Counter-terrorism & national influence
Led the regional response to a terrorist attack, coordinating intelligence and directing activity across six force areas. Called to give evidence at a House of Commons Select Committee on self-initiated terrorists and Incels, becoming a trusted advisor to national CT leads and government.
High-risk leadership and results
Led a 500-strong Public Protection team, achieving one of the highest performing units of it's kind in the UK. Improved compliance for children under Police Protection Powers from 30% to 90% modernising processes and creating child friendly environments
